Va bene cominciamo subito.

Un dj in vigna. Sono onorato e stimolato.
Il titolo. Come cazzo chiamare una rubrica di un dj vignaiolo?
Parte d’istinto message in a bottle, ma sting non mi è mai stato troppo simpatico anche se qualche grande pezzo e almeno un grande album, synchronicity, l’ha fatto.
Allora semplifico, e diventa the bottle che invece è di uno assai simpatico, è il pezzo più famoso di quel grand’uomo di gil scott heron, annata 1978, uno dos tres quatro….

Ma come parliamo di vino, di eccellenze e qualità e arriva ‘sto ubriacone che “a dollar now for a bottle of wine..”, parla di alcolismo, di vino da un dollaro a bottiglia…
The message, allora: 1982, Grandmaster Flash and the furious five. Un pezzo che sta al rap e a tutta la musica da club come un grande ulivo centenario che si guarda intorno e vede tutto che si muove e cambia e lui sta là fermo immobile, impassibile, sempre ammirato, e il vento muove le sue fronde con un ritmo incalzante:

Anche per me a volte è una giungla qua sopra su questa terra, ma non faccio metafore: è proprio che se non controlli le erbacce in un attimo coprono tutto….e invece io c’ho una vigna da portare avanti e lo sento, lo sento proprio attraverso la vigna..eccolo qua, arriva Marvin, Marvin Gaye: I heard it through the grapevine
